The Kids’ Compassion Project Team

Founders:
- Erin Oltersdorf and Shary Zampert are Colorado residents whose passion for instilling compassion in their children (they each have 3 girls) led to the creation of Kids’ Compassion Project. As busy moms themselves, balancing family and all of the ‘crazy’ life has to offer, they wanted to find opportunities for their kids to give back and gave parents the chance to be a part of that growth process (while keeping it easy!)
The Board: Our board members assist Kids’ Compassion Project in putting action to our vision.
- Dr. Kerry Makin-Byrd is a clinical psychologist based in Denver (Stapleton area). She has over a decade of experience working with children and families.
- Dan Oltersdorf has an extensive background in education, business and marketing. He earned his undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies (emphasis in adolescent development) and his master’s in Higher Education Administration.
- Cassandra Shadron is an elementary teacher in the Aurora Public Schools with degrees in Education, Communication and Theatre
